Embedded Analytics Development in Southampton

Putting analytics inside your product for Southampton organisations, where the requirement that overrides every other is isolation. Each customer must see their data and never anyone else's, enforced where they cannot influence it — because a filter applied in the browser is a suggestion rather than a boundary.

Why this comes up

The problem

Tenant filtering is applied in the front end, and the underlying query would happily return every customer's rows.

What you get

What we deliver

  • Isolation enforced server-side, with the tenant derived from the session not the request
  • Row-level access applied at the data layer rather than in the visualisation
  • Performance designed for the customer with the most data, not the average one
  • Caching scoped per tenant, so one customer's results cannot serve another
  • Interface styled to belong in your product rather than looking bolted on
  • Access tested adversarially, by attempting to retrieve another tenant's data

Embedded Analytics Development in Southampton — common questions

Why can filtering not happen in the front end?
Because the client controls the request. Anything the browser decides can be changed by whoever is using it, so isolation has to come from the session on the server — a front-end filter is a display convenience, not a security control.
How should we test it?
By trying to break it. Take a valid session and attempt to request another tenant's data by altering identifiers, and repeat it whenever the data layer changes — this is the one test worth running adversarially rather than optimistically.
What about your largest customer?
They define your performance requirement. Analytics that respond instantly for a typical account can be unusable for the customer with ten times the data, and that customer is usually the one whose opinion matters most commercially.
Should caching be shared?
Never across tenants. A cache key that omits the customer identifier will eventually serve one customer's aggregate to another, and that is the same failure as a missing filter with a longer delay before anybody notices.
Do you work with businesses across Hampshire?
Yes. We are based in Leicester, United Kingdom and work with clients throughout South East, including Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire area. Most collaboration happens remotely, and we travel for kick-offs and key milestones.
What kind of Southampton businesses do you usually work with?
Scheduling and capacity systems that survive seasonal peaks are the recurring need, driven by the port, cruise and tourism economy. Beyond that we work across Maritime & Shipping, Cruise & Tourism, Higher Education, Healthcare and Logistics.
Do you cover the areas around Southampton?
Yes — we work throughout South East, including Portsmouth, Reading, Bristol. Southampton is an urban area of roughly 330,000+, and we take on work across the wider Hampshire region rather than the city boundary alone.
